Hi all! Welcome to another episode of Expat Immigrant Podcast! Today we’re chatting about our beloved Boy Boy (Nat’s son) turning 3 years old! Nat reflects on being a mother for 3 years as well as Katty reflecting on being an aunty.  We talk about the decision to be one and done, cultural identity and having a bilingual child.  In France, children start school during the year they turn 3 years old – Nat also recounts the story of Boy Boy first day!

Once again we’ve managed to record an episode on a very special day indeed! Kat’s Birthday!! We had a lot to get done so it’s a shorter episode this week. We were a little rushed as we had some guests coming over to help celebrate with us! However, we did get through a lot! In this episode we discuss our plans to go to the theatre that afternoon to see, ‘& Juliette’ (which by the way is an incredible musical and a must watch!). In this episode we cast our minds back to many moons ago where we each had a year abroad as part of our University courses. Kat went to France and Nat went to Spain. These were really defining moments of our lives which we look back on with incredible fondness and we’re so happy to share some stories with you! Big shout out and love to our friends that we made during this time who are still so special us today.

Nat – Stay tuned to the end of the episode where I share a demo of a song I wrote back in 2009!  I really wanted to capture the mood and feeling I felt from living in Spain. Despite it being rough around the edges (as a demo usually is), it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written because it always takes me back to this special time in my life of discovery, exploring new cultures and independence.  Hope you enjoy it!
